Kimberley Dawn Haffer (Wagers) of Rolla, MO, formerly of Sullivan, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 38 years.
Kim as she was known was born on October 12, 1977 in Kansas City, MO to Elizabeth “Liz” Mayfield Wagers and the late Rev. Ronald Wagers. Kim lived with her family in Kansas City until 1985 when they moved to Sullivan. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School class of 1996 and attended one year of college at MO Southern University transferring to Central Methodist University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Kim taught for 13 years for various schools in the area until ill health forced her to retire. Kim loved teaching. She was united in marriage to Randy Haffer and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter Victoria. Kim loved her family and serving God. She was a faithful and dedicated Christian who had strong traditional values. She fought her illness bravely and was never afraid. She always had a smile on her face was a great prayer warrior and inspiration to others. In her free time, Kim enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and all of the children in the family had one. She also enjoyed reading Christian romance novels and was known as her “father’s daughter.”
Kim is survived by her husband Randy Haffer of Rolla, her daughter; Victoria Haffer of Rolla, her mother; Liz Wagers of Sullivan, mother and father in-law; Robert and Janet Haffer of Sullivan, her grandmother; Clora Mayfield of Sullivan, siblings; Stacy Pendergrass and husband Joseph of Gerald, MO, Tammy Campbell and husband Coby of Belle, MO, Troy Wagers and wife Stacia of Afton, MO, five nieces and nephews; Anna, Andy and Adalyn Pendergrass, and Carl and Amelia Wagers, other relatives and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her father; Rev. Ron Wagers and her maternal grandfather; Carl Mayfield and paternal grandparents; Carl and Martha Wagers.
Visitation for Kimberley was held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home with interment in Bourbon Cemetery. Kim’s sister Stacy Pendergrass officiated. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
