Services for Grant Waller, 55, of Bourbon, were at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, MO. Burial followed at Anthonies Mill Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.
Visitation for Grant was from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan.
Grant passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO.
He was born July 12, 1961 in Sullivan, the son of John and Esther (Matthews) Waller. Grant grew up and attended school in Sullivan. He played on the Championship Eagles football team in 1976 that took 2nd at State. After graduating in 1979, Grant went to work on the farm. On September 14, 1996, he married Laura Braughdagam and to this union their son, Cody was born. A big part of Grant’s life was his participation in tractor-pulling events. He was involved locally as well as many professional competitions nationwide. Grant loved hunting and the outdoors. He was also a gifted welder and could fix or create anything with his torch! Grant will be remembered for being very active in making the Bourbon community and making it a better place to live.
Grant is survived by his son, Cody of Bourbon; his father, John W. Waller of Sullivan; his brother, Scott Waller (and his wife, Patty) of Sullivan; his nephews: J.T. Waller, Matthew Waller, and Timothy Waller; Special family friend, Paula Ray of Leasburg, MO; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther and sister, Carol Unfress.
