Services for Patsy Schatz, 82 of Bourbon, MO were conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Allen Duda officiating. Burial followed at Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, MO.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home.
Patsy Ruth was born July 8, 1934 in Hemet, CA, the daughter of Arttie and Edith (Craver) Sullivan. She grew up and attended school in California. On November 26, 1950, Patsy was united in marriage to Charles Schatz in Beaumont, CA. To this union two children were born: Jackie & Charles William. In 1954, Charlie and Patsy moved the family back to Missouri and they made their home in Sullivan. She worked for several years for the Ramsey Corp. and eventually went to work for Fidelity for the next 36 years. Patsy continued working after Charlie’s death in 1990 retiring from Fidelity in 1998. She loved hand embroidery, and through the years her family were the recipients of her many cherished creations including pillow cases. Patsy loved to play dominoes but her true passion was for her family. She was an active member of the Word of Life Church in Sullivan.
Patsy passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Patsy is survived by children; Jackie Dunne (and husband, Pat Sr.) of Bourbon and Charles William Schatz (and wife, Teresa) of Sullivan; a brother, John Sullivan of Idaho; a sister, Verdean Werder of Hawaii; five grandchildren: Patrick Dunne Jr. (and wife, Judy) of Union, MO, Colleen Short (and husband, Kirk) of St. Clair, MO, Randee Schatz of Sullivan, Chuck Schatz (and wife, Devon) of Eureka, MO, and Brad Schatz (and wife, Brittany) of Sullivan; her beloved great-grandchildren: Nick, Patrick III, Liz, Brendan, and Caroline Dunne, Melinda & Brad Bizzle (and his wife, Hannah), Tyler Adams, Barrett, Isabella, Ruthie, Bo, and Elena Schatz; one great-great granddaughter, Avery; a brother-in-law, Darrel Schatz and two sisters-in-law, Peggy Schatz and Gloria Schatz, all of Sullivan and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; and two sisters, Betty Whisenand and Barbara Kinford.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
