Clemlee May Caldwell of Sullivan, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the age of 92 years.
Clem was born on June 10, 1923 to Otis E. and Donna E. (Shelton) DeLashmett at Tea, MO. Clem was employed by MO Baptist Sullivan Hospital for almost 20 years and worked for several area factories including International Shoe Company for 10 years. She was a faithful member of New Testament Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Wally Spindler and wife, Brenda of Bolivar, MO; Frank Caldwell and wife, Christy of Sullivan, MO; Mary Caldwell and special friend, Anne of O’Fallon, MO; and Rev. Bob Caldwell and wife, Joy of Arnold, MO; one sister, Lula Thurmond of Sullivan, MO; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Donna DeLashmett; two brothers, James and Javis DeLashmett; two sisters, Iola Cross and Viola Politte; one son, William Spindler; one daughter, Donna Spindler Busse; one grandson, Billy Spindler, Jr.; one great grandson, Bradley Voss; and one great-great grandson, Brayden Deaton.
The family of Clemlee Caldwell would like to their appreciation to the staff of Meramec Nursing Center for their outstanding care during her 16 month stay.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Charles Idleman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, at New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan. It was Mrs. Caldwell’s desire to be cremated. Memorials to Reedville Cemetery, 25016 State Highway A, Sullivan, MO 63080 are appreciated. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
