Junior A. Gillam, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at the age of 67 years.
Junior was born on March 26, 1948 to the late Ralph G. Gillam and Eula Elizabeth Conaway Gillam at Cherryville, MO. He honorably served his country in the United States Army attaining the rank of Sargent. Junior was united in marriage to Carol Adams on November 28, 1965 at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Junior was employed as a car hauler for Cassens for over 30 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 3781 of Sullivan. Junior enjoyed spending time with his family, automotive, woodworking, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Gillam of Sullivan, MO, two daughters, Tamara Patterson and husband Dave of Rolla, MO, Heather Gillam of Sullivan, MO; one grandson, Daniel Jacob West, Jr. of Pevely, MO; his mother, Eula Ogle of Sullivan; sister in law, Joan Gillam of Sullivan; niece, Cheri Riddle and husband Mike; nephew, Preston Gillam; great nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with his father, Ralph Gillam, Junior was preceded in death by his brother, Glendon (Sonny) Gillam.
Funeral services were conducted 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with Pastor Craig Tanner officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Eagle services were conducted at 7 p.m. Monday evening at Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
