Jeff and Lynn Reeves

reeves-iiJeff Reeves, 53, and Lynn (Nolden) Reeves, 49, of Bourbon, MO, passed away together Monday, September 19, 2016 due to a motor vehicle accident near Ellington, MO.

Lynn was born in St. Louis, MO, on December 3, 1966 to Georgia Ann (Heggs) Nolden and Henry Albert Nolden. She was raised in Overland, MO, and graduated Ritenhour High School, Class of 1984. She later attended St. Louis Community College and attained an Associates of Arts Degree in Accounting and then attended Hickey Business School.  At the age of 9, Lynn was baptized at First Baptist Church in Ferguson and enjoyed singing in the choir and attending church functions.  Later in life, she moved to the Cuba, MO, area and in 2003, came to Bourbon. She was employed five years as a school bus driver for the Bourbon School District and worked several years at the Hen House Restaurant.  Most recently, Lynn was employed at On the Run Mobil in Bourbon.  Lynn was known as a fun loving individual who was giving and sharing and was a true “people person.”  She found pleasure in gardening, was an avid football fan and NASCAR enthusiast however, most importantly she was a devoted wife, mother and daughter.

Jeff was born at Merced, CA, on September 19, 1963 to Donald and Helen (Dunlap) Reeves.  He was a graduate of Bourbon High School Class of 1981 and was self-employed with Don Reeves Saw Mill. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. Jeff was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed motorcycling.  He and Lynn would do everything together and would often take extended motorcycle rides. Jeff was a loving husband and son and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Lynn and Jeff were united in marriage on April 3, 2013 in Steelville, MO.

Lynn is survived by her son and daughter:  Benjamin Berry of St. Louis, MO and Rachel Berry of Colorado Springs, CO; step-sons, Mike Summers and Tom Summers both of Bourbon; her mother, Georgia Nolden of Cuba, MO; her father, Henry Nolden of the State of Georgia; parents-in-law, Donald and Helen Reeves of Bourbon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Jimmy Summers.

Jeff is survived by his step-son and step-daughter, Benjamin Berry of St. Louis, MO and Rachel Berry of Colorado Springs, CO; his parents:  Donald and Helen Reeves of Bourbon; two brothers,  Lonnie Reeves (and wife, Tammy) and Britton Reeves all of Bourbon; a sister, Tracey Reeves-Rousan of Bourbon; and mother-in-law, Georgia Nolden of Cuba, MO. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Painter.

Funeral services for Jeff and Lynn together were held 11 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Family Worship Center of Sullivan, MO.  Burial was in Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, MO.

 Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Family Worship Center of Sullivan, MO.Visitation continued the day of the funeral from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
