Debra Lynn Immekus, 61, of Salem, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Columbia, MO.
Debra Lynn was born on September 20, 1954 to the late John and Lorraine (Sutton) Tyler in Clinton, WI. Her family soon moved to Missouri where she attended school and worked various jobs. On August 31, 1991, she was married to Charles Immekus, Sr. in Maplewood, MO. Debra’s greatest accomplishment was getting her G.E.D. and later earning a Bachelor’s Degree. She then pursued a career in human services and was employed by the state of Missouri as a probation and parole officer in the Licking Prison system. She retired in 2016 and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking. Debra loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband Charles Immekus, Sr. of Salem, MO, sons; Preston and Danny Graves, Charles Immekus and wife Kristina and Joseph Immekus, daughter; Dawn Flowers and husband Derek, one brother; John Tyler, Jr. of St. Louis, grandchildren; Jonathan Graves, Rhiannon Hennion and Debra Kaffer and husband, Cody, Charley and Shaneesa Immekus and Kayla Duffy, one great-grandchild; Evelyn Mae Wideman; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents; John and Lorraine (Wickham) Tyler and one sister; Linda Petty.
Visitation for Debra was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with cremation to follow.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
