Richard Corbett Ogle, of Sullivan, MO, was born on Tuesday, May 21, 1929 in Granite City, IL to Fredrick W. Ogle and Pearl (Jones) Ogle. He passed away in Sullivan, MO on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
Richard accepted the Lord in his life and formerly attended Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, MO. He married Patricia “Pat” Ogle on December 31, 1950 at the Cherryville Baptist Church, and to this union four children were born.
He served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of Teamsters Local 682. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Pearl Ogle; daughter Edna Sue Binder; brothers Fredrick Ogle and Robert (Ruth) Ogle; sister Shirley (Noah) Livesay; brothers-in-law David Boldt, Edward Conaway, and Robert Phenix; sisters-in-law Gail Hutson, Grace Rogers, and Edith Cornick.
He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat” Ogle of Sullivan, MO; sons Richard Wesley Ogle of Sullivan, MO, Joseph Patrick Ogle of Lonedell, MO; daughter Nancy Jo Ogle of St. Louis City, MO; brothers Raymond Ogle of Bismarck, MO and Jimmy Ogle of Steelville, MO; sister Margaret Boldt of Cuba, MO; brothers-in-law Robert Hutson of Berryman, MO, Jim (Alice) Rogers of Sullivan, MO; Howard (Marion) Hutson and Dave Cornick all of Steelville, MO, Rainey (Brenda) Hutson of Cuba, MO; sisters-in-law Linda Ogle of Cuba, MO, Bernice (Ervin) Dierking of Sullivan, MO, Dovie Conaway, Elizabeth Phenix, and Celia (Sidney) Ransom all of Steelville, MO; granddaughter Lisa (Matt) Burns of Oakville, MO; grandsons William “Bill” (Sarah) Binder of Fenton, MO, Joseph (Jessica) Ogle of Dittmer, MO, Adam (Michelle) Gillmann of Eureka, MO, and David (Heather) Binder of Decatur, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday, November, 20, 2016 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Memorial Service followed at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Fleeman officiating. The family has chosen cremation as the final disposition.
