Velma I. Maixner, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the age of 74 years.
Velma was born on March 28, 1942 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Jay Scofield and Ida Carnes. She lived the majority of her life in the Jennings area and was employed by Boeing Aircraft for 29 years. She made her home in Sullivan for the past 16 years. Velma was married to Phil Maixner and they had been together for over 25 years. In her free time, Velma enjoyed reading and was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Phil Maixner of Sullivan, MO; two sons, Eric Stevens of Sullivan, MO and Brian Stevens and wife Angela of Sullivan, MO; step-daughter, Tammy Werner and husband Ed of High Ridge, MO; four grandchildren, Michael Lloyd, Aryn Stevens, Patrick Werner, and Leah Stevens; one great-grandson, Dean Lloyd; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan with Father Paul Telken officiating.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
