Brian Midyett obit colorBrian Christopher Midyett, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the age of 30 years.

Brian was born on October 25, 1985, in St. Louis, Missouri, to William Brian Midyett and Gloria Ann (McKay) Midyett. He attended Sullivan Elementary School (in Sullivan, MO), attended Sullivan High School (in Sullivan, MO), graduated from Fox High School (in Arnold, MO) in 2004, then earned his bachelors degree in Psychology at Missouri Valley College (in Marshall, MO) in 2009.

Brian was a happy, friendly person, who was always smiling, laughing, and full of life. He was a great singer (both in high school choir and out). He loved sports and excelled at basketball (which he played at both high school and college level). He had a great sense of humor and a sensitive side, loved his family, enjoyed movies and music, was interested in various cultures, could dress up (or down) with the best of them, and fit in well with people of every walk of life.

He is survived by his father: William, mother: Gloria, step-mother: Denise (Scherr) Midyett, grandmother: Lovetta (McKee) Midyett, grandmother: Judy Smith; siblings: Jimmy and Vickie (Midyett) Kilburn (children: Ian, Logan, Anna, Austin), Kyle Midyett, Justin and Laramie (Powell) McGinley (children: Liam, Ella), Matt Davis, and Drew Davis; aunts and uncles: Les and Pam (Midyett) Stenger, Mike and Brenda (Midyett) Adams, Brad and Cheryl (Midyett) Radosh, Linda Midyett, Bob Midyett, Robert Jr. and Valarie (Hill) McKay, Christopher and Melissa (McKay) Collings, Wade and Susan (McKay) Martin, Cindy (Hicks/Sullivan) McKay, Darrell and Jennifer (Donner) McKay, Thomas McKay, Joel and Gail (McKay) Levin, and Glenn McKay; cousins: Michael and Tsi (Magosha) Adams (children: Thabo, Trinity, Alex), James and Stacy (Stenger) Bewig (children: Dylan, Cheyenne, Johnny, Wyatt), Aaron and Mellanie (Adams) McElyea (children: Andrew, Brianna, Caden), Eric and Emily (Monroe) Stenger (child: Abby), Jennifer Stenger, Candi (Radosh) Collins and Ronnie Siebert (children: Alyssa, Lucas, Abby), Matt Radosh, Robert McKay, Tiffany McKay, Ashley Collings, Cricket Martin, and Steven Martin; and many more relatives and countless wonderful friends from school, work, and life.

Brian was preceded in death by grandfather: Johnny Midyett, grandfather: Bobby McKay, step-grandfather: Jessie McKay, grandmother: Annie (Sullivan) McKay, and step-uncle: Donnie McKay.

Visitation was held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold, Missouri on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 3 pm to 8 pm.

Brian was laid to rest at Upper Indian Cemetery in Viburnum, MO, on Saturday, July 9, 2016, following a service there at 10:30 am.
